Switch to a Sebo, you'll be throwing that Difficulty S24 out the moment you start using a Sebo... :) |

You can't just go by brand. Some manufacturers make a very good canister model, and yet another model in their line-up is very problematic. For example, the original Electrolux Oxygen power nozzle power team was an excellent deep carpet cleaner, but some of the newer models with the newer power nozzle can't clean carpet as well. Same with Miele - some of the power nozzles are not the best for deep carpet cleaning. As far as airflow goes - it's hit and miss depending on the particular model. My Electrolux UltraSilencer Green has very good airflow through the hose for use with tools, whereas some of the other Elux vacs don't provide the same airflow.

Well said Eurekaprince!
The best option is to go to a seller's shop where you can try out both the Sebo and Miele vacuums. Don't go by what people say because powerhead attached canister vacs are expensive and if you have had problems with your previous model, try and find the pros and cons yourself, especially if the same problems are likely to occur with the next purchase. Personally, although I don't like my Sebo K3 Premium because the hose is short and the older ET-H floor head is heavier, the K3 Vulcano and latest bigger S5-sized Sebo D4 are better because they have the longer 2.1 metre hose and the Felix ET-1 floor head that is more practical than the auto-adjusting ET-H. But again, you really have to be able to test these vacuums before you decide. |

I think the Miele Canisters are the best available. They have a wide variety of power nozzles and are very quiet, about as quiet as a 1960s Hoover Convertible (which is saying a lot)! |
