Hello guys,
I have a Fantom Lightning that I am suprized to say I really like. It has good suction and the power nozzle ( that I just found ) grooms the carpets well. My question is....... Is it normal to have the metal pleated motor filter covered with dirt and dog hair every time I vacuum or do I have a missing or bad seal?

I believe that you have a bad seal or something. When I used to use my Lightning as my daily driver, I would of course check the pre-filter after very use, but would be able to go a few months between cleanings because nothing ever was caught in it.
