Hello there,
Would anyone be interested in a 1984-Dyson prototype vacuum cleaner which I have listed on ebay.co.uk item number 330682815838. The item is located in England but I am willing to send out internationally if there is interest.
Other ebay members in England have given some details about the item stating that there were very few of these made and that to their knowledge there are only 3 in existance. But I do not know how to verify this information.

Nice machine! The attachments remind me of the ones on the Fantom Thunder, especially the crevice tool, and overall the machine has Dyson similarities.

This will be fun to watch for it's scarcity and completeness. I do hope one of our European members will be able to afford it. Perhaps a group pool effort?

Already at $100 with 6 days to go and reserve not met.

As for North American hopefuls...well...that's a pricey proposition even for the most devoted collector:

Shipping:GBP 150.00(approx. US $238.10)

Dave

Yes, Tom has one on display at the St James Vacuum Museum.

I'd love to say I'll be bidding, but I can't afford it. I hope it sells though, and I'm sure you'll get a lot for it if the right people bid.

That is a very interesting vacuum cleaner! It looks like the bagless version of a Regina Housekeeper Heavy Duty 3000.

I remember

seeing those on Tomorrows World in 1982/3. They demonstrated it picking up talcum powder using a late model hoover junior dirt searcher as a comparison. I seem to remember them saying they would be on sale in Japan but were VERY expensive. I can't seem to find the clip on youtube.
