A similar model was sold here in the 1970s branded as Kenwood, and yes I do have one. Does yours have the interesting swivel hose connection to the cleaner

So how does the swivel hose work? I presumed the hose connected at the front, seeing how there is nothing in the top.

It does connect at the front, but the connection point swivels. My version "sounds" to me like and Electrolux so it may be they bought the motors from them

If I remember right we had the same model called Nalle but it was yellow and with swivel hose.

Hi Vacbear. Thank you for that. You could be right about the motor. I know of one other cleaner which used an Electrolux motor. I've never seen anything like this Excelsior before. But then I didn't go into the vacuum business until almost 1980 so I only know about what you would call popular models on sale before that time.

Hi again vacbear. Thanks for sharing. Seems to have been a good cleaner all round, for the price. Do you happen to know how long they were for sale for in the UK? I am guessing that like the cleaners in the 1980s, it was not built by Kenwood.
