Hi everyone!

I am working on several vacuums at the same time, and I need a few parts to get my vacuums to look and work their best.

Firstly, I need a complete dome top for my Air-Way 77. I believe all "dome-top" Air-Ways had the same dome.

Next, I need an Attacha-Carrier for my A-W 77, as mine is bent horribly out of shape...

Also, I need an A-W 77 crevice tool. This is the wide fiber type of crevice tool in the green color.

Another thing is the plastic emblem that is mounted onto the body of the vacuum. It is yellow plastic that is painted. Mine is broken, and I would like to find a new one.

And, lastly for my Air-Way, I would like to know if anyone has ever painted their Air-Way, what color did you use? I would like to find the best matching color available.

Next are some parts and related information for my Hoover Convertible model 31.

I need an outer bag for the 31. Mine is ripped up and is not the original.

Also, I need some recommendations on paint for this one, too. It has the white for the base and turquoise for the handle and everything else. If anyone has painted these before and had good results, let me know which colors you used.

And lastly, what is the best way to reshape the deformed hood? Boiling water or blow-drier? I think boiling water would heat it up the fastest, but I am not willing to try it, as I am sure someone else has and has found out the safe way. I have learned enough things the hard way, let me tell you! :-)

Sorry for the amount of questions...I figure the adults who have the parts and the knowledge would be the people to ask!

Oh, and I forgot to mention: I am willing to pay for the parts, but please keep the prices reasonable for a 15-year-old.

Please email me at civildefensekid@charter.net. Thanks!

Sincerely,

Kyle O.

good luck with the bag, kyle. the bag is often one of the first parts to go, so many 31s dont have their bag anymore.

as for the hood, you will not be able to reshape it like new. i would like to know what others think about the hood myself.

Contacts for A-W77 and Hoover 31

I'll bet Charlie Watrous, vice president of the VCCC, can help you with the Air Way 77 parts. In fact, Charlie sells Air Ways.

If you will contact Jeff Parker or Tom Anderson, they'll probably be able to help you get what you need for the Hoover Model 31.

Best of luck with your restorations.

Yeah, those bags seem to be hard to find! I sure hope someday I can get one, though!

I hear our downtown Sherman-Williams industrial paint store has what I am looking for. I will have to go there in a few days to see what they have.

Charlie was going to be my first contact for my Air-Way! I was thinking to myself before I posted..."I bet Charlie would have these parts!" I will email him in a few minutes.

Tom is going to keep an eye out for the bag for me.

Thanks again, everyone!

HI! Good grief! The mailman must have been extra hard on your Air-Way Kyle!! I'm sorry about that again. If you don't have any luck on the Attacha-Carrier for the 77, which was NOT bent when it left here, BTW, I may have another one down in the shop. I'll look tommorrow and see. Just e-mail me and let me know if you have any luck. Later, Trg
