Does Kirby still make the miracle head for the Sentria?

Post# 164429 , Reply# 1   1/2/2012 at 22:26 (4,491 days old) by twocvbloke ()

As far as I'm aware, it's still combined with the shampoo kit, swapping Shampoo brushroll & tray for the Miracle Head brushroll in the same nozzle as they have done since one of the Heritage models...

The miracle head no longer 'comes with it'. You can still get it, but it's not with the main accessory kit. When we got ours, I questioned the salesmen about it and he said that it costed more money for it.

Floor Care Kit

pr-21's profile picture

It is sold as the Floor Care Kit now. I think they run around $100 new, but you can find used on Ebay and buff them up and even buy a new horse hair brush and Sentria belt lifter. By the way the new ones come in plastic and are gray to match the sentria. Goodvac sells them for $99.00. It includes the wax applicator, wax roller, brush and gray frame with gray belt lifter.

Sentria is almost done.

jfalberti's profile picture
And she is beautiful. Right now it has an Ultimate G DE handle, but I bought the correct handle and it will arrive next week. Then on Tuesday I'll order the Floor Care Kit and a Rug Renovator for it and it will be complete. If anyone is interested, I'll post some pictures when done.

Here she is.

These are just some simple pictures. If anyone would like to see something in more detail, let me know and I'll take more pictures. Hope you enjoy. I have everything for it except the Turbo Sander. I'll pick one of those up later.

First picture is the Rug Renovator. Brand new, never out of the box.

Next is the Floor Care Kit

jfalberti's profile picture
Again, brand new, never out of the box. It includes the Handi Waxer and the Miracle Head, and a two piece handle for the waxer. It also includes a piece that snaps onto the normal rug nozzle for vacuuming bare floors.

This is the return of the Handi Butler

jfalberti's profile picture
Again, brand new. This didn't last too long before it was discontinued again. The tools appear to be like those used on the Dremel.

Congratulations

Joe:

That is a job well done. It reminds me a bit of my own adventures putting my TriStar CXL back into shape. That machine was purchased with a lot of parts missing, including very HTF ones like the little grille on the upholstery tool, the hose and the manual.

Eventually, I got it back to what it was when new, absolutely complete and correct, but it took some real doing (and some real money!). That you were able to make a Sentria from scratch like this, complete with nearly every accessory, is phenomenal.

Thanks Sandy!

I also have a Sentria box with all the packing materials. The person I bought the Floor Care Kit from shipped it in it. It's great, but I'm afraid to try to remove the shipping labels from it. I'm afraid it'll tear up the lid if I do. Some people may not understand building one instead of buying it already assembled, but it was fun, and now I have the latest (for now) Kirby. That's cool how you rebuilt your TriStar. I'd love to see pictures of it.

No Sooner Asked Than Granted:

Joe:

Here's a shot showing the whole shebang.

Post# 166612 , Reply# 19   1/21/2012 at 18:28 (4,472 days old) by danemodsandy ()
And Here's....

....A closer shot of the attachments. You can see the PN, the floor tool, the rug shoe (clear plastic piece to the right of the floor tool; the rug shoe clips to the floor tool to convert it to a rug tool, though it doesn't work all that well), a real rug tool, and an extra set of wands with the tool caddy clipped to it. The caddy is holding the crevice tool, dusting brush and upholstery tool. A manual is also in the shot.

With the hose, the floor and rug tools, a new cord, the tool caddy, a new motor and dust seals for the PN, the manual and a new dust bag, filter and afterfilter basket, about $400 was invested in bringing this baby back up to snuff.

Way cool!

Thanks Sandy. That is a beautiful machine. I'm keeping my eyes open, but as of yet haven't found one around here. Some day! Thanks again.

Joe:

Thanks for the kudos.

If you're looking for a TriStar, try to hold out for one that is as complete as possible. Those floor and rug tools go for over $100 each new. Wands are $50 each.

Ask me how I know....

....

Looks great Joe! A practically brand new Kirby for under $800, plus you have all the toys most folks don't get! I would say you scored well...
