Hello!

I'm into my dysons and have thought about having one of these models shipped over to the UK for a LONG time now.

I want to know your opinions on both, the good bad and ugly.

I'm aware dumping dust is messier than a bag, that bagless cleaners are bulkier and heavier and I like the wand/hose set up on Dyson.

I would like to know more than anything which deep cleans better...

DC17

I have owned several Dysons. I have the DC28 and I wouldn't recommend it. It doesn't deep clean any better than the DC17. They have the same rating on Consumer Reports for carpet cleaning, which is a "very good". The high tech gadgetry the DC28 has doesn't seem to have any real advantages. The most annoying thing is when it's set to bare floor, the head becomes flush with the floor. If there are any large particles you have to tilt the vacuum up. Save money and get the DC17. My local vacuum repair guy said he gets in a lot of DC28 models with various problems and that the DC17 is probably their best model.

I have only just noticed this!

Thankyou for your reply!
