One of my friends gave me this Bissell today, and I could not have been more excited. I really like the Lift Off series, for those of you that do not know, these use a separate motor for the brushroll, so they are very agressive vacuums. Most people on here will say it is junk because it is a Bissell, but I really like it. My friend forgot that I had wanted it so it was outside in the garbage, waiting to get picked up. Thankfully, her mom went outside and brought it back inside. Between last night and this morning, somebody stopped and cut the cord off, which is really no big deal. Her mom reassured me that it worked fine, it just didn't "suck anymore". I got it home and tore it completely down. It was one of the nastiest vacuums that I have ever gotten. I took the motor out and soaked all of the parts in soapy water and scrubbed them down. These are EXTREMELY easy to work on, and I had no idea! All you do is remove about nine screws and you have complete access to the motor!

After about two and a half hours of work, I had it all put back together and ready to go! This picture is of the base, before cleaning. I didn't get a picture of the full vacuum before hand.

And finally, all finished! My phone died so this is the only picture that I currently have of it. I will try to post a better one tonight.

The hose was STUFFED full of pet hair. It was terrible! And the hose was bent at the end (almost always happens with these). So I cut the bent part off and twisted the coupling back on the rest of the hose, problem solved!

I don't have a Lift-Off, but I have a Powerforce Turbo.
