I know a fair bit about my Vacuum Cleaners, but the one that I don't know a thing about, is my 1993 Philips U800 Upright!

I bought it for £5 ($10) a week ago, and it works great now I put a new bag and belt on it, but I can't find any information about it.

Heck, I can't even find any results for it on eBay!

Strange - It is like it didn't even exist...

The model number is HL3687.

If you know anything, I'd love to hear it.

Thanks!

Think i have seen one of them before. Does it look like the panasonic in my picture?

Yes, it does!

When I first saw it in the shop, I thought it was a Panasonic until I saw the decal.

I had a thought while lying in bed last night - The Philips U800 looks more alike the Panasonic series of the same era the more I think about it.

Even little details like the power switch are in the same place.

So, my thought was - Perhaps Panasonic and Philips worked in partnership back then, and that is why the cleaners were so alike ?
