Hey guys, I found a Dirt Devil Featherlite Bagless today in the trash. It was FULL of crap and smelled, but it looked fine at first glance. Well, its plastic trash bin is cracked... is it worth it? Since I MIGHT be getting a Westinghouse Unplugged soon anyway...

I think that vacuum deserves to be left where you found it! It's loud and cheap, all plastic, paper filter in the dirt chamber, terrible attachments, no features... I don't pity it! You might be able to sell it for 10 bucks on C/L if you cleaned it up. Of cousre if you like it, by all means it's worth saving, we all have our preferences!

Personally, I'd just say "Nah!!" and left it where it was, motor uses too many amps, the plastic, as proved by the crack in the bin, is cheap and weak, I'd just cut off the cable (saved for more worthy vacs) and not bother with it, especially as it's one of them "bagless" vacs with the inverted bag they call a filter...

from a parts standpoint, keep the tools and maybe the hose... dump the rest. ooh and cut the cord off too

You could sell it on Craigslist or recycle the plastic parts at your local recycling center.

Best of luck selling that! I saw it in a black friday flyer, brand new, for $19.99.

May as well save yourself the trouble and toss it.

the belt snaps too easy, the filter clogs too fast (as well as the hose)
and I have heard reports of the moter sparking. trash it!

I bought a new bin for it, and when I put it on craigslist, I had that offer from a woman who DESPERATLEY needed a vacuum, and said she was willing to pay "top-dollar" for the vacuum! :)
