Hello guys! I was if they still make water matic vacuums? Are they any good? Any better then a filter queen ? Do they clean carpets well and floor? Is the filteriation good? What is the price? And is it comparable to a filter queen ? Whats the filteration like and does it have a big motor

Well I have a newer one and I don't love it but I do like it. It does have powerful suction and the power head is very much like the 90's-early 2000's filter queen power head. It does not have a bag just big washable cloth filters and a fairfax paper disk that goes in between the cloth filters. It is also much like a fairfax as it has the same water pick up system. I don't know if it has a shampoo system? The motor is very big and can be rated commercial and has a thick cord. It does filter well but you don't want to let it get very full as it will lose suction when the bottom flter clogs. The only real complaint I have is the hose is way to short and I'm not in love with the filter queen type power head. The vacuum is still made with heavy duty metal including the dirt tank. I called the company and they are still being made, the guy told me I could order one over the phone for the very low price of $2800.00 plus tax and shipping. If you find a good used one go for it.

PS Filter Queen and Fairfax ( I think ) are better. If you put the Fairfax Eureka style power head on the Filter Queen vacuum and the Water Matic filtration you will have one hell of a cleaner.

Have three of the se machines-one bought new when there was a WM dealer here and the others from yard sales. The machine is kinda of a cross between a Fairfax and a Filter Queen.Fairfax and WM can be used for wet pickup if the ball valve insert is put into the machine. You remove the filters in the WM and the bag and filter in the Fairfax.I have a Fairfax, too. Both WM and Fairfax have high quality true bypass motors-the motor cooled by a separate fan-isolated from the fancase.-as found on wet-dry vacuums.Use the WM as my "kitchen" vac-yes,it LOVES roaches as on the roach thread.doesn't bother the machine abit-and the roaches are dried out and torn up.Just dump them into the trash.
