I had some time on my hands  and was near a pail and water, so, I thought I'd clean up a few of these.  I believe they're in Contemporary forum because they're from the 90s,  the tail end of the Convertibles.   They've been totally cleaned, etc.

The bag on the one on the right is one of my favorite Hoover bags. I love the plainness of it, and the fact that it is blue and not white. Great job on cleaning those up, by the way!

WOW! They look so squeaky clean!

I must ask though.... what is that intriguing grey hooded hoover in the background right?

That's the first vacuum my mom had when I was a kid. I remember running it around the house at 2 years old. My grandma bought it for her, buying one for herself & one for mom. Except theirs had the bright blue bag that's on the right machine with the base on the left. Is the left bag original? Or do you know?

It is original.

The shade of blue is a bit different.   A lot of people thought it was a replacement.  Toward the end of Convertible,  they used the standard white bag on just about everything.  They are nice,  even if they are "plastic"....... better than the "new" plastic stuff, at least.

SPA treatment on a few Hoovers

John,

They look great. What color is the Convertible sitting in the back ground? Never saw one that color. It looks like it is a light mauve in the picture.

I remember seeing one in Tom Anderson's pictures  that was a very beautiful beige color hood and trim. I had never seen one that color either It was not far from the color on your machine.

I think you have my grandmother's Sunbeam Mixer on the floor too.

They really didn't make this with a light.

Yes,  the "Ranger" is my least favorite.  I have one in red, gold, and 2 in blue.  That's enough for me.  That cleaner in the background is a model U4017.  I'll post a clear pic it if soon, along with some others.  Your grandmother's Sunbeam?  There are 2 here.  If I keep looking around, I MAY find your GRANDMOTHER here!!   You never know around here.

I know you love them. You'll have to come here again,  then  you can drool over them. I'll post... you show me yours, I'll show you mine.. or something like that.
