Not bad at all, Garlands! The beauty with a lot of second hand places is that they have no idea what they're doing ...that's also a downside with a lot of places :P Charlie |

Post cleanup pic.
I sent the machine off to ELI distribution for a service. It's had a new brushroll, fan and mini emptor. It was supposed to have had a full polish as well, but I ended up having to do that myself as it was still a bit manky when I got it back. I've ordered a new top cord hook from eBay and also managed to possibly hunt down a set of tools for it. |

I might just do that. He called me and quoted me £161 to replace the emptor, brushroll, fan and wheels. It wasn't until I said no that he offered to replace them all with parts from a donor machine for £60. The machine was also returned with a dirty belt lifter that I had to give a good clean up when it came back. He also didn't offer to replace the bumper which is slightly damaged on one side. I remember the Kirby guy literally getting our Legend 2 looking new when Mum's was serviced.
Still, I'm pleased it's had an internal clean up and the parts needed have been replaced. |
