WOW! Fantastic! Great find. One of my all time favorite canisters, and definitely my favorite modern kenmore. I just love the power nozzles and features of these. |

I love this body style. It seems to be quite a bit lighter than previous and newer models. This one does not have the fingertip power control though. It is on the base. The controls on the hose only turn the brushroll on and off. This also lacks a push button cord retractor, it has the 'pull method'. This also has the shorter hose. But the power of these, and like you said, the power nozzles are the best, especially since they have the newer brushrolls in them!

Here is my grandmas. Dont know how it would fit in the lineup. It has finger controls, button cord rewind etc. TOL i assume. Every time I go over there I always use it. |

Nice! And that was quite a steal, too!
Tell me, how well does it perform? |

For as much as they were new, I would say they are great performers! VERY quiet. Definitely a joy to use. |

Brandon, Yours might be the late model Kenmore Whispertone (the last ones from early 2000s-early mid-2000s?) Chase, Yours might be the one before the last series of Whispertones? (Late 1990s-early 2000s?) |

I clearly remember this model being sold at Sears in the early 2000s. This was the last mode for sale before the first Whisperbelt models took over completely. I last time I saw this model for sale it was displayed next to the TOP red Whisperbelt, on the right side on the vacuum aisle, while the uprights were on the left. They were still selling the white Caddy Vacs at this time, so this would have been before 2004. That means I would have been at most 7 at time; I'm not sure why I remember it so well. I have no idea how long these were produced. All I know is they were gone soon after my Sears visit.

Yes
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Kenmore canister vacuums (if they have the quick release). Using an Elextrolux canister to me is a very similar experience. The Kenmore's are SO easy to use and do a GREEEAT job! I bought my first one new in 2004 (it last two years) Of course I used it every single day nearly. Bought another (it lasted 2 years with nearly everyday use) Then finally, the last one (which lasted 2.5 to 3 years (but I didn't use it everyday). Same thing happened with all of them. Shortage in the connections. |
