Urgh...I posted this earlier but it didn't show up :-(

Has anyone tried the LG Kompressor Canister? The animal version is at Sears for $379.

I'm looking for a bagless canister for my mountain cabin. It doesn't get too dirty up there but I don't like to have bags sitting and fermenting while I'm gone.

I have a Kenmore Iridium which has great power, suction and empties as good as it can (for a bagless) but I've not been happy with the PN on the machine. I'm getting new carpet at the house and it looks like the LG might have a PN I'm used to.

Anyway, just curious if anyone has tried one or bought it and if you have, what you think?

THanks!
Chris

I have one without...

The PN and it is a great vacuum - very very quiet and strong suction as well a great airflow. Just be careful of plastic connections that arent 100% strong.

I didn't know they made a canister version... that's great. I have the Iridium too, and it's made by LG.... I don't like it much though... the power nozzle skips on my carpet, the emptying thing is not user friendly, I turn it on and off by mistake all the time, it's bulky and cumbersome.... the horrible attachments aren't stored in a good place... they tried!

Good luck with your decision.

connector

Patrick,
Do you know if the tools are proprietary or are they a standard 1 1/4" connector? I have a brush attachment that I absolutely love and like to take it from machine to machine.

The PN on my Iridium skips horribly on my berber carpet but has been okay on the cut pile. I've not been impressed with the PN at all but overall like the machine. I definitely need a bagless up there for a number of reasons but I haven't been impressed with Dysons at all.

Hopefully I can get down to sears and take a look at it this week to help make up my mind.

Thanks for chiming in guys. I appreciate it :-)
