My mom's friend finally dropped off her Windtunnel V2 today! She just didn't want it anymore. This is the same lady that gave me my near new Hoover Windtunnel Premium Self Propelled. This is in fantastic condition, with barely an scratches. It just needs a good cleaning, but I'm unsure on how to get the clear plastic part off. It is from December of 2002. But this is it, complete with all attachments!

The picture is kind of bad, but I'll try to get a better one later.

My grandma also had a V2. It was burgandy though and was extremely hard for her to push on high pile carpet. She traded it in for a Sentria, and here I am now wishing I would have talked to her about selling it to me before the Kirby salesman took it!

Chase, that's the model I sold around 2002 at Sears when it first came out. Did yours come with the bagged and bagless chamber? That was the model that came with both... if you wanted a bagged machine, it came with a plastic cartridge that looked just like the bagless one but took a Y bag. I liked the idea of having the option, and the dual brushrolls, but it was loud and heavy and the hose was short... just baby it because you know how fragile the gear boxes on the brushroll are. I saw one in at thrift shop a few weeks ago and looked at it... the whole brush assembly was missing and they wanted 39 dollars for the silly thing! Very hard to push too.... every one we sold was returned and we talked them into the purple bagged Kenmore Direct Drive instead... I wish they'd made those self propelled! I hated how the clear dirt pat got dirty so fast and you couldn't see through it anymore... soo annoying! The slim profile of the nozzle is nice though :o)

I finally got my Hoover Windtunel v2

Chase,
I bought a Hoover Anniversary Convertible that looks VERY similar to yours except it has either the dust cup or you can use Hepa bags (which do not stay on the holder for some reason). Mine also only has ONE brush roll.
It seems to work ok but does not have as much suction with the tools as the regular Anniversary Windtunnel.
Mine also seems to have a slightly quieter motor than the Blue Anniversary Windtunnel.
I try to careful with mine as it is an Anniversary model. I have been told the off/on switches are touchy and the back wheels have a tendency to snap off the machine base. I also like the longer tool hose. This one says "Convertible" on the front and I guess that is becaue you can use it with the dirt cup or a throw away bag.

The "Converible" looks like a Savvy

i was told (reliable source)  that they used Convertible to keep the patent  on that name up to date. Not totally sure.  Windtunnels are nice.  Some are monsters.

I do have the bagged conversion cup thing for it! I got it at a vac shop a few weeks ago so that way I'd have it for when I got this! It makes me feel much more comfortable using it knowing that there is no huge filter in there waiting to get clogged. It really is very loud and very hard to push, but you can just feel it deep cleaning the carpet very nicely. I'm not going to use this very much and try to keep it in nice condition because like you said, they are very fragile.
