I have always liked the looks of the Hoover Flair, and I heard they were pretty good. I just couldn't see spending $50+ dollars on the one with the power nozzle. I waited years to find one, and then just forgot about it, until today. I found this nice one with the power nozzle at a garage sale for $5! This is one heck of a stick vacuum! It is pretty powerful, aggressive, and has a nice swiveling neck! My grandparents house is all hardwood with area rugs, with the exception of the back living room, so I vacuumed the entire house with this. I had to empty it 4 times! They vacuum once a week and keep a nice house, so i was surprised. My grandma loved it, and is thinking about buying one for herself. I'll be using it all the time since mot of my main floor is tile and hardwood. If you can get one of these at a good price, I'd strongly recommend it!

cool! It's great that you finally found a hoover flair, now you have convinced me to buy one for myself!

Chase, congrats.... I've wanted one of those since I saw the demo on HSN... the power nozzle model. I like that it is corded... but I didn't think it would have much, if any power... glad I was wrong! I wish it had a brush roll window, stood up by itself, and had a finger tip power switch.... oh well, a girl can dream, eh?

It really is quite powerful! It does stand up by itself though! It may not look like it in the picture, but it does. That is one of my favorite parts about it. Not to many stick vacs do that.

Oh yes, then that's great! I thought it was leaning on the stair case!

Stick vacs standing up

Just like my 1970s Hoover Quik Broom S2009 (has 3-way dial on nozzle for full-width cleaning or edging [left or right edge/corner] only)
