Today was the townwide garage sale so my dad and I went to a few sales. I found this nice Royal Commercial for $5. It is a 1986 model. I now have the headlight model, no headlight model, and the wide track model. It is flawless and runs great! I told the people there that I collect vacuums and one of the guys said he had a Kirby I could buy off of him. I asked if I could see it and he took me in the shed and it was a complete G4! I asked how much, thinking he'd want a bundle, but he said $5! It also runs perfectly. Literally only needs a new bag. There was also G3 and Ultimate G attachments and shampooers in the shed, and I asked about them but he said that he used those vacuums in the house. The G4 is one of my favorite Kirbys, and I've been wanting this Royal for a very long time, so I lucked out!

That is awesome! You could always sell the G4 and easily get over $100 for it, but it's a nice vac if you don't have a G series I suggest keeping it! :)

Wow that's awesome I have a Kirby g5 but not quite as nice as ur g4 mine the bottom cord hook is broken and the transmission has a small tick once in a while but ya great finds I have never had a royal and never been very interested in them before mostly because I have never had one. In comparison to the Kirby how do they perform?
