This is the patent I was awarded in 1972, with nine out of ten claims of originality. Only one claim of required for the patent to be awarded. Over the years the concept has changed somewhat. I now think it would be more stable to have the hose connection facing the rear of the machine for greater stability and easier inclusion of a scrap trap.

I do not know how to attach more than one photo at a time, sorry

Trebor

I did all these myself, the draftsman only had to do do minor cleanup. This was in the dark ages before CAD

Obviously...

I got the date wrong. It was 1981 and so expired in 1998

Still not right..

filed in '81, granted in '82, expired in 99. That's the date I had in mind, I just subtracted 27 yrs instead of 17. It was a looong time ago.

That is an interesting design. looks like something that could work very well for those who don't want to take apart a machine. Nice that you can also position it on a stair way. Or for those who need a collection bin for hard objects. From the looks of it a mock up could be made easily. I would get my name back on that design like yesterday!!!!! And find out how much the air flow and vacuum lift will be effected. Per our convesation of yester years converters. Did you get a chance to make a mock up of this design at the time you drew up the plans?

Is it possible...

to renew a patent after this long, if no one has done anything with it? I don't have any working capital at the moment, but if someone were interested in assisting with the renewal and splitting the profits? I'll start researching.

I wish I had a few extra dollars. It would be fun to try it out. Is the remaing pitch man still helping people get their ideas off the ground. Haven't seen the show advertised in a while. Or did it just fade away? I know Billy Maze is gone.

I too posted and Idea on the new kirby topic. It may have been the idea I have been looking for to "clean up" so to speak. But I may have to "suck it up" and suffer the loss.

Sorry just couldn't resist. Being a Kirby fanatic and professional cleaner I couldn't pass it up.
