Future Shop is currently selling the Miele Mistral (S7280) with the Active HEPA filter for $299.99. Additionally, for the month of May, Miele will upgrade you to a 10 year parts and labour warranty provided you register the machine through their website.

An outstanding machine at an absolutely ridiculous price combined with an incredible warranty!

Snap them up while you can! :)

I wonder...

Do they ship to the US? ;)

Scott - do you know if Future Shop has "dumbed down" anything on this Miele for their sale price? I know that when I first started shopping for my Hoover Tempo, the Future Shop version was different than the one being sold by Home Depot. It was about $30 cheaper and had no headlight and no "check bag" indicator. Just wondering if maybe they stripped the Mistral of some features and maybe shortened the cord and took away the headlight or stuff like that.....

The S7280 Mistral is identical to the S7280 Viento (and the other S7280's sold in the USA). The only differences between them are the colours.

The S7280 has the bag indicator, as well as the LED headlights. Speed control for the motor is regulated by a dial.

The S7210 is the stripped down version. It does not have the LED headlights and does not come packaged with the Active HEPA filter. However, this machine is not sold in Canada.

I already have a S7580 Marin, but when I saw this, I just had to add another S7 machine to my arsenal! :)

Hey Scott - glad to hear it is the same product. But I would still be careful - even with the identical model number, Future Shop has been known to sell a product minus its standard features or with modified specs in order to bring down the price. It would be interesting to compare an S7280 sold by Future Shop for $300 with an S7280 sold by a vac shop for $600. The link below will take you to a store in Montreal selling the same model number for $600.

It looks like Canadian Tire is trying to compete with Future Shop - their price is $250!

I wonder if Miele is trying to clear out some of the uprights that have that "crushing hose" problem - where the hose collapses under high suction and is permanently bent out of shape and can't be properly stored on the vac any longer.

Just trying to figure out why FS can sell this for such a low price.

The S7280 Mistral sold at Future Shop is the same S7280 Mistral that is purchased by independants. I know, because I have used the machine purchased at Future Shop and the one that we sell in our store. Independants are able to buy it to offer customers a different colour over the S7280 Viento.

Future Shop's regular price on the S7280 Mistral is $599.99. Every once in a while, they will quietly drop it down to $299.99 without mentioning the original price. As to why, I have no clue...

The S7280 Mistral was originally to be used only for Miele's entry into certain big-box stores. It made its debut at Canadian Tire, but it has since left and moved to other retailers over the last two years, with the latest being Best Buy.

While I have seen the photographs posted here of a collapsed hose on a S7580, in my S7580 Marin and in the many S7280's and S7580's that I have sold, I have yet to see a collapsed hose here.

Thank you for that information, Scott...

I guess that $299.00 price-tag makes this promotion a real steal!!! :-)
