My uncle called me today and told me that he found this lovely Royal Commercial upright in the garbage for me! He was driving through a subdivision and saw the words Royal on a vacuum and knew that he HAD to get it. I am VERY glad that he did! I am not sure if the motor sounds right or not. It does need a belt though. The owners even used Genuine Royal bags in it! So that shows that they cared for it. This is a picture of it at my aunt and uncle's house when I first got it. I'll post more pictures of it when I get it all cleaned up!

The motor is great! It just sounded funny because there was no belt. But the brushroll is mangled and will need replaced. Other than that, she runs like a charm!

Chase,

This appears to be a pre-1982 model 608 or, prior to 1976, the 606A.

Chase,

This also would mean the motor is 4.5 amps instead of 3.0. So now that I know this is an '82 model, what is the serial #? I'd be guessing B82-E-40917. Correct?

Here it is all clean! It was surprisingly very easy to polish up! The bag could be washed, but I am scared to do it as I don't want to ruin it. So it is fine the way it is.

Sorry for the picture quality. I got the HTC Thunderbolt and it takes great photos on the phone, but when they are put on the computer, the quality just goes down the drain!
