I'm hoping there is a Miele dealer or someone that can help me locate a part to keep my vacuum going. I have a S 238i Air Clean cannister (old, I know). What I need is the part that secures the two wands together. Unlike the newer ones, this one uses a knurled knob to screw it secure (wish I could take a pic)to the other wand.

I had brought it to my local Miele dealer, and he kept going on how old it must be, he had never seen one like this, he had been in business a long time...Anyways I left it with him with fingers crossed. Just got a call saying there is nothing he can do. I don't know if I should believe him. I thought one of Miele's claim to fame was that they kept parts for many years after production.

I know it's an "old" machine (haha)but if anyone knows something, I know members here will be able to advise me.

Too bad you can't get a picture. I found something that might help you. See the link below. It's too bad that they don't have a picture either. Hope this helps.

Is your wand the one labeled "170" in the pic below? If so, then I can get parts 180-200 together, but I can't order them seperately. They're not very expensive at all, somewhere around $8.
