I found this on freecycle, it was listed as "two semi-working to non-working vacuums" this one was the semi-working one, the other was a dirt devil. The problem with it was a clog in the hose. It seems to be a well built and seems to clean carpeting pretty well. Has anyone else used a Lindhaus and what did you think of it?

I have had the one you have and it is obviously well built, however I always thought there was too much dead space on the edges of their power nozzle. Combine that with the ok suction and you do not get good edge cleaning. The bags are also a little hard to change. Make sure you poke your thumb through where the bag attaches to the vacuum and it will make this a lot easier. You have to slide it up a post to secure it.

that look JUST like my Tornado Carpetkeeper only the Carpetkeeper is a lot wider. I love it for work and would love to find another one. I have used the old girl everyday for almost 7 years now and don't know how many years the folks before me used it. If you ever want to sell it shoot me an email. kirbyman123@hotmail.com
I think mine is 16 or 18" wide

That is for sure the edge cleaning on this is nothing to write home. The suction on this is pretty good as for airflow...won't even register on my baird guage. It seems to clean as well or just slightly better than my windsor versamatic does though.
Is the tornado carpetkeeper must be a discontinued model? i'm not seeing it on their site...or anywhere for that matter, i'm curious about this wide head on it.

I have a Lindhaus power nozzle and I like it. It has very good edge cleaning and picks up pet-hair well. The only thing I'd like is more carpet agitation. It doesn't really vibrate the carpet like my uprights. If it did it would be perfect.
