We see those in very regularly. Check and see where she purchased the machine. Some stores received batches of Hoovers that had more electrical smell than others. You aren't the first person who has mentioned the smell- we get customers in for belt issues who always ask about the odor.
I really think it has something to do with the "fresh from China" smell. You can really smell it when you get 10-15 machines in at a time and open them all up (the boxes reek). |
