I went to Menards today with my dad, so of course, I had to look at the vacuums. They had the Hoover Windtunnel Self Propelled on sale for $130, that's $70 off the original price! So I couldn't leave it behind, I figured that was such a good price since I have been wanting one. When we got up to the counter, my dad gave me a coupon for $66 dollars off any purchase! So I walked out with this lovely vacuum for $71 dollars! I think that is way worth it. It works great, and the self propel is not as jerky as the original ones. I also love the soft touch wheels. I am glad I finally have a "functional" self propelled Windtunnel! I really wish they didn't drop the Windtunnel logo though..

What changes did they make in 08? Cosmetic, adding a loop style handle (I prefer the old one actually) and rubber coated wheels? |

The first SP WindTunnel Ultras did not come with a small turbo nozzle - the 3 on-board tools were stored up on top where this version's turbo nozzle is stored.
Adding the turbo nozzle is a great idea....the extremely high suction coming from the hose will really provide great power to the turbo nozzle. This is a great improvement since you really can't use the cheap upholstery nozzle they give you because the high suction forces that upholstery nozzle to press too hard on fabric and it can tear any upholstery you are cleaning. |
