I always heard great things from dealers, collectors, reviewers, youtubers etc about Riccars. I'm actually running out of deep-cleaning non-collectible vacuums to use, so I decided this might be an opportunity to try out a Riccar.

So what is the normal price for the absolute BOL Supralite or Simplicity Freedom? Is there anyway to talk down the price with the dealer? I'd like to get one new.

Thanks

I was at a homeshow this weekend and my local vac shop had a stand. I overheard the guy saying, "yeah, were a t $319 on the supralite". I dont know, this could have been a special homeshow deal. Hope this helps.

a base line supralite/freedom is $310. i don't see why you can't try and talk your dealer down on the price some.

$319? Really?

Sometimes there is a sign hanging over my local Riccar dealership that says something like "American Made Vacuum for only $199". I though they were referring to the Supralite, but I wanted to check. $300 is way too much for such a basic vacuum; I'd rather get a used Kirby or a Royal.

Simplicity Freedom

I think I paid around $200 for my Simpicity Freedom. It is a good little cleaner if you are just using it for quick pickups kind of like an Oreck. And it is light too. I can pick it up with one finger...
