Not sure, but in a similar vein, the Queen's Golden jubilee was in 2002, and she's having her Diamond Jubilee in 2012, so it may be related with celebrations of royalty than of marital anniversaries... :) |

Hello Charlie.
Diamonds are used for the Sixtieth Anniversary & beyond. By that time in life, most couples are not interested in acqiring more 'stuff' for their residence, rather they are downsizing quite often. This is one reason why diamonds are commonly used from the 60th & onward & upward. Cheers & hagd all, Bill |
