They always remind me of Thomas the Tank engines LOL

I was telling Seamus the other night, I clean every Saturday at my uncle's office, and they've just got a huge Numatic industrial cleaner, quite similar to the NVQ-380 (link below), but blue. Also, it only had the hard-floor head with it, which was caked in swarf and motor oil, so I had to clean it before I used it. Very powerful (2400w), but the wands weren't quite long enough for me, even though I'm only 5ft10, and I got back-ache pretty soon. It also wieghed a ton, being half-full of metal swarf and machine grease.

I'm gonna bring my Hoover 912A along next week to see how that does in it's home-environment!

The only time I've ever seen a Numatic and I didn't know what it was at the time, one of the cleaners in the highrise I worked would be vacuuming the mats by the revolvoving lobby doors with this ever so quiet little round squat vacuum. Naturally my curiousity got the better of me one day so I had to go over and take a closer look to find out it was a Numatic which I'd never heard of before, before my vac collecting disease struck.

Numatic JAMES

HEE HEE!!!

These machines really are adorable, aren't they!! :) Anyone used one? Do they have good suction? Decent attachments??

The suction's excellent, since the filter, bag and bag compartment are huge. Plenty of airflow! I used to use one in a clothes store I worked at. They can handle the biggest piles of dirt, size-cubes, clothing tags, etc. with no problems! The attachments are durable but basic, and not especially good or ergonomic in my opinion.

Numatics

Great vacs, you see them everywhere here in England lol.. schools, shops, offices, car washes etc
Think they are so popular because they are cheap and durable, and have cute faces!
Friend gave me a Henry from the rubbish tip, which must have been a builders vac, 1994 model. The motor was absolutely covered in brick dust, but I cleaned it up and fitted a new switch and works fine now :) shows how tough they are
