What can anyone tell me about this machine? Is this worth the investment?

Floor sander-its nice but NOT worth what they are asking-and its missing the bag. These machines can turn up at used power tool places for much less shown there. My brother got one-don't know the brand---for only $20.He used salvaged flooring in his house and the floor sander was used to refinish the flooring.usually these machines are rented out-any rental center has them. They may even sell the older machines in their fleet as the rental companies get newer ones for replacement. And flooring contractors have sanders as well.A companion machine called an "edger" is used with the main sander to do edges of the room and corners. Its smaller and has a circular wheel instead of a drum.
