Does anyone out there in Vacuum Land know where to get parts for the commercial Kirbys like the Super Vac 180 that I have or American Lincoln? Does anyone out there HAVE any of these special machines? I bought mine yesterday, and love it. I'm looking for a replacement brush roller, longer cord (25 feet is just not long enough), outer bag and bag top. Any help would be nice.
Thanks a ton. |

Yeah, thats the problem with owning one of those,,there are no parts avalible at all, period. Ive heard of people taking old brushrolls to a specialized woodworker that could copy it, but good luck finding someone like that now. You would think Kirby would at least still make the basic parts for rebuilding those machines. Evidently they are so rare now that it just dosent pay for anyone to make parts for them.

There's a photo of a Supervac in this thread. It's the same model that I used to have, but mine was called the "American Lincoln." CLICK HERE TO GO TO electrolux~137's LINK |

Hello Justin.
Thanks for posting the photo of your SuperVac. She L@@Ks pretty nice. Much more so with a Kirby bag arrangement, than a F&G system. (mho) It was good talkin' with you the other day. When I may be of assistance again with your Kirby wants & needs, let me know. I appreciate being to be able to help save you guys & gals on your Kirby items; for both restorations & everyday consumables usage. Cheers & hagwknd all, Bill |

This is what the Super-Sweep's brush roll had looked like around 1979. Note the newer-style plastic thread guards... those first appeared on the Classic Omega's brush roll circa 1975 (and thus, the Super-Sweep's - when it was still wearing the "St. Patrick's Day" color scheme).
This picture is credited to the late Austin Wilder. ~Ben |
