To quote my uncle, "Man, this guys is REALLY proud of (this) cordwinder!
I do love the original Belden plug, however!

These are not as rare as all that.

Yet, all it takes is one person to say, yes, I want that at any price. But since most XXX's presumably already have a motor cap, whatcha gonna do with a spare one?

I could understand that price if it was new-in-box, wrapped in original tissue and unopened.

'It's made for the Model XXX, but it also fits the Model E, Model LX, and the AF if you change the mount'
What mount? Must be referring to the included salvaged 1948-52 chrome motor cap. This same cordwinder fits ALL the above Lux models.

'with little scuffing, and very little rust' maybe it's the attached motor cover that's adding $50 to what should reasonably be $9? Imagine what the price would be for the entire XXX it came off of, regardless of the condition?

Yeah, the Belden plug is nice but not at $60.

And frankly, that video...it disturbs me to watch the lovely plug being yanked out and then allowed to snap back. No way to treat a vintage Belden cord.

Dave
