I own the DC26 and the DC23 Motorhead. Before the DC23, I owned a DC21 Motorhead, which is very similar to the DC23 and which I gave away after getting the DC23.
They aren't similar at all in terms of their carpet cleaning abilities. If you're underwhelmed by a compact Dyson, don't get the DC26. The turbine brush doesn't perform well on carpet. Honestly I'm a little disappointed in it myself, but I bought it mainly as a portable to use on surfaces other than the floor and just because it's interesting because it's so small. The DC23 Motorhead is an amazing canister by any comparison. The DC22 Motorhead might be just as good and a little smaller, but it's really expensive. Fred S. has a DC23 with the turbine brush. I can't talk about that model, but he could. |
