I found this vacuum for sale for 15 dollars.... It's probably not even for available anymore (though the ad IS still up!) at that price, but I didn't know much about it and wanted to ask before I try to contact the seller. I guess it is to compete with the Oreck? Is this the one they call the Lux Lite? Does Aerus make it, or is it sourced out? Is it worth inquiring about?

Thanks :o)

Ultralux upright

No, that is not the Lux lite. It is the Ultralux version of their upright. It no longer is in production. I believe brush rolls and motors are the same as in the others. The after filter is a little different. It's been a while since I last saw/worked on one, memory a little foggy at the moment.

Thanks for answering so fast.... I looked up pictures online and I REALLY like it! It's a sharp, modern looking vacuum cleaner, I just e-mailed the seller to see if it is still available. I have a friend who lives near where it is, so if it's still available, he offered to go get it for me.... I just don't want to drive that far... I still need to get an oil change and all that good stuff, ugh! The only problem is that the friend who might get it for me (if it is even still for sale, they should remove the ad if it's gone, and they haven't) is an Electrolux upright freak.... he doesn't collect vacuums, but he loves Lux uprights and has two... one for home and one to leave in the car for a small side cleaning business... his aunt and mom have one too, so I may have trouble getting it from him!

A vac shop that I visited recently had two of these that they were parting out, people had traded them in on something else. They told me "they had issues", and were not of the build quality of the mainline Lux uprights. They were supposedly an exclusive model offered on one of the shopping channels a while back. I wished I'd looked at the manufacturer's label, would like to know where they were made just out of curiosity.

I'm getting it.... I'm having a friend pick it up for me since I have to work today and he lives right down the street from where it is.... hopefully, he doesn't fall in love with it and I can wrestle it away from him :o) I will be throwing out my Sanitaire SC 887 to make room for this one.... I've already robbed the brushroll from it for the 1934A and it's always collected and spewed more dust than it gathered. I'll post pic and opinion when I get it :o) So exciting!
