Very nice! I have one, but I am not sure what im going to do with it, the handle spring is broken, the headlight cap wont stay up, and the motor sounds terrible even with new bearings, the switch went bad, and it is tarnished to the point that it is almost black. yours is absolutely beautiful though!

Dustin, the first one or two times you repair a handle spring can be a very frustrating experience. But once you've done it a couple of times, it becomes quick and easy. However, you will need a special tool that's sold by Kirby in order to wind the handle spring. The headlight issue is very easy to fix. All you need is a "U" shaped friction clip that taps down into place between the headlight pin and the fan case. That's a cheap fix too. As for the vacuum being loud, they are just loud. However, if the fan is ok, and the bearings are ok, you might check the brush roll. Sometimes the mounting brackets that the ends of the brush roll fits into can get spread out. If they aren't tight, then the end of the brush roll can rattle around. That can can make an awful racket. I just use a pair of needle nose pliers to gently squeeze the the opposing tabs on the bracket back together, thus creating a tight fit for the end caps on the brush roll.
