OMG!!!!!!! I just purchased a vintage filter queen from the local vac guy. I neeed some help.....he said it was about a 1935 model.. ????it runs perfectly... I do need a hose for it..here is the following info... the vacuum is entirely chrome and aluminum.. there is a brass plate on the front of the vacuum that reads the following: Filter-Queen Model 200A No. 42305 volts 110 watts 500 Walters Appliances Limited Toronto Canada Is there anyone that has info on how old this machine is and how I can get the Hose that belongs to thos vac???

Thank you Brad

Does it look like this?

I picked this 200A up last year in Calgary. It sat for weeks at a thrift store and I just kept walking on by it, then I felt sorry for it and took it home LOL It still works well and I have a vinyl hose on it now.
I'm not sure the date now.. Doug told me once and having a memory like a sieve I've forgotten, only that it was the first model FQ.

Ok..... yes it does look just like yours in the pic.....and it is entirely CHROME....I will send a pic as soon as I figure out how to size the pics so they will fit so I may post them. This is a beautifull machine... Where would i get a hose for it??

I also have a Filter-queen question...

I am trying to get what the seller simply describes as a 40s Filter-Queen on Craigslist. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what model/year it is. Here is a pic-it comes with all the original attachments, boxes, and manuals n stuff-for $20! Can anyone tell me anything about it? Thx :)

Oh, and are Filter-Queen attachments from the 50s interchangeable with this (if it IS from the 40s)? I just thought the attachments were awesome and kind of random that I saw on ebay-among them hair dryers and scalp massagers?!? lol

Filter Queens are great...

I do not have a huge collection of them but I have several. Yes I have a model 200, I do have original attachments, they are more unusual than any other Filter Queen, but I do not have the original hose for that machine. Brad the original hose will be hard to find but I am someone might have one. but I am not sure about the original attachments.

Nick, that is great machine, yes you certainly should get that being that it comes with all of the attacments and boxes, WOW! that would be incredible. I do have this machine but not complete, you would be very lucky to get this and only for $20, get on that now.

I do have really cool Christmas ad for the 200 where it has the 'Twas the night before Christmas' poem but it is about the giving the wife the vacuum.

The unusal Filter Queen I have is the early 60's model that comes in a Hasack. You know the foot stool that holds the vacuum? I do like Filter Queens they are a great machine.

My goal someday would be to find the Eureka Rot-o-matic with the Hasack that came with it, it was round maroon and grey.
