I've decided to do a little "upgrade" experiment on my Kirby Classic III. I had this Heritage II bag and Mini-Emtor sitting around, along with an extra bag hanger and bag top for the Classic III. This is the result. I also installed a new "F Style" bag adapter too. Of all the Kirby vacuums I own, I've always thought my Classic III feels more "beefy". With this new bag system, it more easily maintains its suction seal to the carpet too.

I'm thinking about using the mauve bag from Legend II on this little setup. Of all the Kirby vacuums I own, I'm least fond of the Legend II. I like the way it looks, but it is almost impossible to use on the Berber style carpeting in our family room. I think it would nicer on the Classic III. Any opinions?

Ditto

I have done the same with my Classic III using the Legend II bag, and added a four row brushroll, makes an awesome cleaner. I think the difference in the way the Legend II and Classic III clean is the baseplate on the head, IMHO.

You're right. The four row brush roll makes a huge difference. It's easier to push and does a much more effective job of cleaning.
