It's always nice to have a basic, classic, "motor-first" upright in your arsenal of cleaning armaments, and this one is "tried and true". It's probably easier to manoeuver than the Hoover, and it will give you the famous Eureka top fill F&G bag that is one of the largest dust bags ever provided on an upright. On the other hand, congratulations to TTI for actually providing the T-Series with what looks like the easiest way to change a bag on an upright!!!!!! I prefer not to push around a whole bunch of useless "onboard" tools when I vacuum carpets - much more practical to have a separate canister for non-carpet cleaning. I don't think the tools provided on-board the T-Series are very useful, but you should investigate what tools are provided and decide if they give you added value for the vac. I never found the plastic handle on the Eureka to be much of a problem.....unless they are using cheaper plastic now. The original Boss Dial-a-Nap upright had a plastic handle that was very thick and sturdy. It also had the famous Vibra Groomer II brush roll (not sure if the new version gives you that). |

I've got a Sanitaire S634 with the plastic handle (1934 clone) and it's surprisingly durable. When I first saw it I thought it would be flimsy and easy to break. |
