I figured I'd introduce myself over here. I also post on automaticwasher.org

I'm just getting started in collecting vintage vacuums.

This fascination is resurfacing from when I was little. I kind of lost interest in modern vacs after the mid 1990s. It took me till now to realize my vacuum fascination with the older vacs.

My favorite brand is Hoover, as that is what I grew up with. My parents first vac was a Hoover convertible from 1981. I remember it broke in 1985 while I was running it. So they went out and bought a 1985 model Convertible. That thing still ran great up until 1995. We were moving and my dad made me get rid of it (I asked to have it after they bought a 1993 model Elite.)

Right now my collection consists of a Hoover Convertible model 1020 and a U4007. And I'm pretty sure it will be growing quickly as well :)

You have a couple nice Hoovers to start your collection with, and I'm sure in time, it will grow. I only had 10 a year ago, and now have 22! Doesn't take long for them to accumulate!

These are great machines. I am glad that you shared them here too. These are some of Hoover's best Convertibles. I really liked the video!
