"I say old chaps," someone in the U.K. should grab this up -- this version hardly ever shows up. In fact this one is only the third that I've seen in all the years I've been on eBay -- and I have the first two! I also have one from Germany that's slightly different but has the same beautiful logo on the top (that the U.S. version lacks).

(I'm glad I got the ones I have when I did -- in each case the actual sale price was "but a few tuppence" but the shipping ... oy vey!!)

Chris, the last one I got from the U.K., I paid about US$5.00 for it and the shipping was ... drum roll ... US$65.00!!

There are plenty of the American versions floating around... I myself have about 30 of 'em!! And they do come up on eBay fairly frequently. In fact there's one on there now. See link -- this one has been relisted a couple of times. the seller hasn't "gotten it" yet that s/he's asking too much for it. I've gotten several of them on eBay, nicer than this one, for as little as $5.00.

Or did you specifically want the European version? It is much lovelier, with the raised sunburst Electrolux logo.

Glad you bid on it, I hadnt realised the US ones where slightly different styling, very heavy in the cast which makes them durable...never did see any in action at all as a kid etc..

heres a few of mine:

Ahh, so beautiful!!

Question about the older-style one on the left -- is the Electrolux logo blue, or is that a reflection from the blue paint on the housing?

Well, that's even more cool then!! The logo on the one just listed on eBay is silver, as are the logos on the two that I have.

I just wanted it for the logo, mainly. I already have one other one that I bought that's a US version. I ended up paying about $30 total (USD) for the polisher and shipping. I just asked the guy to ship it surface vs. air, which would have been way more expensive!

Well, that's not so bad. But it will take about a month for you to get it!
