The back of the bag seems too small to fit the collar. |

inside There isn't a groove to hold a ring on the tube like the Convertibles. |

All original. The 29 was the lower end of the line and came with a cloth shake-out bag. I had one in college that was given to me by my sister-in-law's mother so it holds a special place in my heart. That bag looks like a Citation bag (Model 64 - the last of that line) (off to the right) the first to take the smaller C bags. The ones before took larger bags - Type W with the opening top with clip.

The model 65 was the first convertible. It had a two speed motor. The 29 did not. The 65 also had a differently shaped agitator. The 29 did not use disposable bags, where the model 65 did. The 65 was lower to the ground, and lighter in weight than the 29. The 65's attachment converter slid in from the back, the 29's converter slid in from the side.

You'll rea enjoy that machine once it's up and running. I just got one and in in the process of making a daily driver. I personally love this machine, you'll definitely want attachments to go with it. The hose suction is really good and Ive been using the Mothimizer a lot lately with various different scents (Kirby Scent Tabs & carpet pearls/ crystals work great too!
