Are you looking to sell it? I'd possibly be interested, but would have to see some photos first. Where are you located? Thanks! Chris |

Dennis, the Electrolux Golden Jubilee was introduced in late 1974 or early 1975, as the Golden 50th Aniversary model, hence the 50th Jubilee Stickers on the back top of the machine, and the PN that goes with it. The Golden Jubilee came after the blue Model 1205, and before the model Super J. which was introduced in mid to late 1976 i believe. An interesting note, the Golden Jubilee is also a model 1205, as(i think) it has the same exact motor as a blue model 1205. So it is virtually a model 1205 in a gold body. There were some upgrades with the Golden J. from the blue model 1205. The Super J model is almost identical to the Golden J,but i think does have a different (larger and noiser) motor. The Golden Jubilee is/was an excellent vacuum cleaner (IMHO),,and its not too uncommon to see them still in use today, with having no, or only slight repairs and upgrades. I believe it is one of the best machines Electrolux ever produced, along with the Electrolux Silverado which came a few yrs later. A Golden Jubilee with a strong motor, new bag, upgraded hose, and PN is an excellent cleaning machine that will last for many years. I think the Golden J, in A1 condition,,all shined up is a beautiful machine. My Grandmother bought a brand new Golden J in early 1976, and i was in love with it. I remember how beautiful it looked when it was brand new. It was one of my Grandmother's prized possessions. Back in those days,,a woman of her generation held her head up HIGH if she had an Electrolux,,especially a NEW one! It was definatly the Cadillac of vacuum cleaners in its day. You can imagine what the first thing was that i wanted out of Grandma's house when she moved to a rest home! Of course i still have it. |
