I wasn't looking for a Windtunnel but when I found this one I couldn't pass it up,This is how I found it,no spa treatment so it hasn't had a hard life,Still Made In USA,North Canton, and it's a Dirt Finder,Tremendous suction,I think the Elite has been replaced,Both great carpet groomers but I love the dirt finder feature on th WT and the on board tools.

That's a beautiful WindTunnel you found there Mark, on top of that, it's a real Hoover.

Nice

I had the original Wind Tunnel which looked exactly like this except the shape of the base was slightly different and the purple extended to the rear of the base. This appears to be the next model.

Be careful when using the tools. The powerful suction causes the hose to contract and being attached at the top of the machine it causes the vac to constantly fall over. I loved mine and I'd still have it to this day but it went to an early grave from toppling over so many times. Not to mention, I still have several gashes in my wood work, walls and door frames from this thing constantly falling over.

If you are careful when using the tools and remember to shield it from tumbling over, you will have a great vac.

This is about a 1998 machine. And it is one GREAT vacuum. I have a mint condition one, and a really beat up one, of this same machine. I also have one from '07 I think that is blue. They are really are tremendous vacuums!

Thanks Guys

Thanks for the comments and input, I only used it for the second time after I took the pics,I had company this weekend, five of us and a dog in and out plus I had a rummage sale inside,so more people in and out with light carpet,I was going to steam clean the front room but after using the Windtunnel it doesn't look like it needs it,this thing really has some power, the bag is already half full.

Windtunnels

I Love them all! But the ones from north canton are built a lot better imo I have Bagged regular and self propelled and bagless and one that is called a Covertible (not a real convertible) but you can use either the dirt cup or bags. I thought they called these the Savvy. But it says convertible on it, go figure.....

Production dates?

Does anyone know when they started producing Windtunnels in Mexico? Mine was, it's a Windtunnel Plus, 13in. wide, dark green...one of my favorite daily drivers! Years ago I had one like the one in the above post, but someone needed a vacuum, so I sold it.
