My dad is moving into his new house, and he had to bribe me with a new vacuum if I took the smaller room. Obviously, I took him up on that. I told him I wanted a Dyson, and he asked which one, and he will order it when I figure it out. The house has medium shag carpet, hardwood, and tile floors. I want to go with a new one, I am just not sure which. So I figured I'd ask for some help on here. I know, I complain about them non-stop, our's were just not good at this house, but this house is PERFECT for one. I am thinking, Dyson DC14 Animal, DC17 Absolute, DC27, or possibly a DC25 Animal. I am questioning the DC27 because I am not sure if it has an on/off brushroll or not, and I need that. I like the DC17 because, that is one of the ones I had, and the brushroll was amazing. I also had the DC14, and it was okay, but I feel it would do a good job. And then, I have always wanted a Dyson with a ball, but I am not sure that one would deep clean as well as the others. So let me know what you think. Thanks, Chase |

It is the improved version of the DC17. The DC17 has problems with its seals, and the DC27 does not, it was fixed. The DC27 does have on and off brush control. They do not make a Dyson without it in the US. |

Yeah the motorhead canister is like, fricken 800 dollars Davis lol. Not happening. I am sure the DC27 will be hard to push, because when we had our DC17, it was sort of hard to push as well. But this carpet isn't as thick as my mom's house. So it SHOULD be all good. I guess I'll for the DC27, because there are some amazing deals for it on eBay. Thanks for the input everyone =] Chase |
