Hi everyone.... I was using my S/ WindTunnel tonight and it made a screeching sound as the transmission engaged. This is the first time it's done that, and it only did it once, right after I turned it on during my whole vacuuming session. I've had it since last December and I bought it "new" (refurbished), so I assume it's time to get in there and change those belts... no easy task with a transmission belt, but I think my Dyson belt changing tool may help if I can get it in there.

You

shouldn't have trouble changing the belts. It is a pretty simple process. The belt system on these is fairly bad on these machines IMO. Those belts need to be changed about every 6 months for good performance....
