ok, so I've noticed a difference between my older Kirby's and my G-5. When using the Sanitronic, Classic or Heritage, I can see the nozzle lifiting the carpet up off of the padding, which is telling me that there is ample suction. These machines even pull in debris from the sides of the nozzle of its close enough, but not my G-5. Is it just my imagination, or could there be a problem? In hose mode the G5 seems to perform perfectly, but for some reason I just don't feel as if it's cleaning my carpet as it should. Am I just being paranoid? Doesn't seem to be any blockages anyhere, changed the bag, changed the belt, adjusted brushroll - heck, it was even in for service not too long ago. Cory OKC. |

I would ask a novice user if they had the nozzle lowered too close to the floor, but that clearly isn't the case for such a Kirby enthusiast. |

There was some recent talk about MicroMatic and how to properly adjust the nozzle height on another thread. I was always under the impression that you lower the machine until the sound changes and then one additional click or notch. This is how it says to adjust the nozzle in my Diamond Edition manual and its how I have always adjusted any Kirby I've owned prior to my Diamond Edition. What is the true correct way to adjust the nozzle? Do you stop when the sound changes or are you supposed to go the extra one click lower? |
