The Goodwill Outlet store, that is, where the dreck of the dreck is offered. But some goodies do turn up. I've bought a number of vintage machines there, mostly canister models because most "modern" people want an upright with the hose built onto it. I see lots of plastic uprights but I'm really not interested in them.

Most of you guys are better versed in the lesser-known brands of machines that I am. However, I was aware of the Fantom vaccuum but had never examined one. The other day, I was at the Goodwill and I saw a lady had an interesting power nozzle in her cart (she beat me to it). Since I had part of a wand that looked like the one she had on the nozzle, I asked her if I could look at it. She motioned that I was allowed. I looked at it and saw that it was a Fantom. It quickly became clear that this lady didn't speak English well, and really didn't know what the power nozzle was for. I got the impression that she thought it was some kind of stand-alone sweeper, like an old-fashioned carpet sweeper. I imagine that this nozzle will quickly find its way into a dumpster. That's a shame, too, as the Fantom nozzle appeared to be very well made.

I found a light blue Dirt Devil at the Goodwill in the Ritzy Section of town last evening, and at least three "families" were there, at least two of the children were going at it at top volume. Place was loaded with all kinds of neat things, no hot vacs or stereos though.

It wasn't at Goodwill, but an old family friend gave me a generic vacuum floor brush, thinking it was a vacuum. He said it "didn't work" and "it just sat there and wouldn't move"
