Would anyone be interested in a Eureka Hot Shot? I purchased two of these yesterday from a man that lives close to me. I have cleaned the vacuum, it was pretty dirty, there is some slight rust on the top motor housing and the metal plates near the wheels, but it’s not bad. The vacuum runs fine and sounds great with no bearing noise. My main concern is how to break down the handle for shipping. There are two plastic studs that hold the handle together and I would like to avoid breaking them if possible. Just thought I would ask some of my fellow club members, I hate to ask over the forms but I want the vacuum to go to someone who will appreciate it. Asking $30.00, I am willing to discuss the price |

I just dug my HotShot out the other day from the back of the pile in the basement to give it a go since I hadn't run it for awhile. Great cleaners |

No Bobby, not this time, Jersey! My Grams friend had a Hot Shot, they sold them here at K-mart in the early 90's. I liked the switch too it was different. IIRC there was a white one with red letters.I didn't see many in my neck, the plain white with red bumper was quite popular, especially the metal hooded late 80's one. |

I had feeling that this was a department store model. You are right Pete the vacuum is a great performer it really sticks to the carpet. The 5.5 amp motor really makes a difference, but it makes the vacuum louder than may 5 amp model. I know that it’s not a real valuable model, because of the plastic construction. I am really thinking about keeping it if nobody else is interested. There is an interesting story behind this vacuum and the man I acquired it from, that I would rather not post over the forums just in case he sees the post. I don’t want to hurt his feelings. Thanks for the responses, Kenny L. |
