Okay friends....here we go again with another mystery vac-maker on the market:

Bionaire

I know this name used to be slapped onto home humidifiers (I had one here in Canada), but who is behind this new line of Bionaire vacs? I guess this question falls into the same category as: "Who is behind the new (Germgrabber,etc....you fill in the blank) line of vacs?"

Who know WHO actually makes WHAT anymore??

I'd also like to know. The latch on the hose-to machine connection looks like a Miele derivative, so they could have Wessel-Werke behind their components. I'm more curious about whether or not the filter has a "true" electrically powered ionizer, or if it's the kinetic/friction activated type.
