I was surfing and came across theese. Should be interesting to see if they will be a flop or not. I remember the last time Sears took a PN and attached it to one of thier uprights to make a 3.5 amp "lightweight". It looked like one of the Power Center vacs of the early 90's.

That is very interesting, but when you put a PN and a hand-vac together, you get an Oreck! It would not clean well. But I will have to try it out next time I go to the mall.

It looks as though Sear is getting "back to their roots" (so to speak) as a catalog company. None of the interesting things they have (online) are actually sold in their retail stores. The website is so enticing with all the Emer vacs (and Bosch models I've seen in the past). It's very sad, but I think it's safe to say that the retail's "golden age" is long gone.

Nate, your right about the Oreck thing. Thats exactly what the older vac was like.
These two vacs come out the end of September, so we will have to wait and see what they are like =(.
Chase, I can't wait either. The hand vac fits on "your Kenmore's attachments".

Yes John retail is gone as we know it.

I see that first one being able to pick up enough dirt in the first minute to clog the filter completely. At least in my opinion that seems like a very strange combination. The second one looks a lot more useable.

"Sears isnt really taking a turn back to a catalog company they are just making Kmart their flagship store SADLY!!!! Also I want the Kenmore bagged upright.."

What I meant by saying that they were returning to a "catalog company" is that their internet offerings are much more extensive than what they actually keep in their stores. Back in the day, their catalogs showed much more than what was actually in the stores. No offense, but you're much too young to remember what it was like in the vacuum department of a Sears in the 1970's. This is back when Sears actually HAD a vacuum department, now vacuums are a side item mixed in with major appliances. Trust me when I tell you that they look better on the internet.....
