At last I have one of these rare birds of my own.

Long after the Junior U1012 was discontinued as the main model in the UK junior line up came this catalogue special.

This is finished in a colour scheme very reminiscent of the original 1346 of 1967, but was around 15 years later in 1982.

Seamus has one, and I saw another one on ebay a week after I won this one, but have not a clue where she ended up. I only hope that a collector now has her in their collection.

Here are the pics guys and gals, pictured next to her older sister, another restoration candidate I have recently received. The first and the last of this theme, 1958 and 1982. :D:D:D:D:D:D

And just so she doesn't get a complex, here is her older

1958 - 62 1334. Not looking too bad for her 50 years.

More info on the U1012 availble on my website.

Hope you enjoy.

Happy hoovering all,

Clark.

Oooooooops, my dates were wholly inaccurate, May 1981 is my ladies birthdate. :[

Nice Juniors!

Thanks for sharing these 2.
Such a successful design they just kept on going.
I remember the Hoover shop in Hampton Wick sold a lot of reconditioned Juniors in the 1990s. A lot were reconditioned by a company called JaxVax who bought old Juniors in their hundreds and resold them with a different badge. I think it was a red 'J' roundel instead of the Hoover logo.
Best wishes, Jonathan
